Today I was able to explore the Rancho San Antonio County Park. This winter has been very rainy in California, so this was also the first hike of the year for me.

I did the Wildcat canyon loop, I went pretty fast and it was done in about 1.5 hours. I did it clockwise, which is the other way compared to the profile described in the Alltrails link.

The trail starts in a little open area, where you might see some squirrels and turkeys roaming.

There are also california bay trees towards the start of the trail

After shortly after that I made my way towards the trail, walk near a stream (up) until the real wildcat loops started. It was very green and felt secluded. Since it just rained an hour before there weren’t many people on the trail, but I hear it can get crowded.
